Scanner & scanning FAQ
Every question about scanning documents and photos — setup, troubleshooting, and getting scans to your device.

If scanning doesn't work but printing does: check that the full manufacturer's driver is installed (not just the basic print driver — scanning needs the full suite). Try scanning from the manufacturer's app (HP Smart, Canon PRINT, etc.) instead of Windows Scan. Also check the USB/Wi-Fi connection — scanning uses a different communication channel than printing.
